Go with Trails in France for a training camp to discover the Calanques National ParkBetween Marseille and Cassis, you will explore a magnificent park, with a remarkable biodiversity and fascinating limestone cliffs!
The first metropolitan national park, vou will be able to enjoy the minerality and the beauty of the landscapes, all with a limited portage: we will radiate around our base camp located on the seaside of Marseille. This course will undoubtedly make you want to run the Trail des Calanques, a trail that has been established in the area for many years and is organised by the Club alpin Marseille Provence.
In addition, during the days, you will have the opportunity to learn the running techniques that will allow you to progress in trail running, running uphill, downhill, on uneven terrain, use of poles, etc. ... You will address all issues related to the preparation and performance in trail.
The course is designed so that runners looking for a moderate (2/4) to extreme (4/4) intensity can develop their skills to the full, thanks to the presence of several coaches and adapted courses.
Atoll Diving Center in Marseille (rooms for 2 to 4 people) or equivalent
2pm at the Marseille Saint Charles train station on the last day of the course

End of the afternoon Installation at the accommodation
8am - 5pm: Hiking and running trip in the Calanques with a picnic by the sea
Late afternoon: Conference on training and preparation for trail and ultra-trail
9am - 4pm: Day hike - run
12pm - 1pm : Picnic by the sea
Late afternoon: Bodybuilding workshop
9am - 12pm: Morning hike - run with VMA calculation
12:30 - 14:00: Convivial meal to close the course
Early afternoon: End of the course at the Marseille train station
Intensity 2 to 3/4: Moderate to sustained (2 day version)
Technical level 3/4: Overall technical
During the stay
Between 15 and 25 km per day
Between 1.000 and 2.500 D+ per day
You will be able to do a 5-6 hour outing in the mountains
Technical level: You will run in the mountains on technical paths. You may encounter some technical passages (scree, névés, steep slopes) and aerial passages.
Intensity 3 to 4/4: Sustained to extreme (4 days)
During the stay
Between 20 and 50 km per day
Between 1.500 and 2.500 D+ per day
You will be able to carry out a 10-hour mountain outing
Technical level: You will run in the mountains on technical paths. You may encounter some technical (scree, snowfields, steep slope) and aerial passages.
Regular training several times a week, with long outings (more than 2 hours)
Physical: You regularly practice endurance sports (trail, bike, hiking, skiing...). During the course you will be in very good physical shape.
Technical: You are at ease on all types of trails and can encounter technical passages (scree, névés, steep slopes) and aerial passages.
