Go with Trails in France for a great crossing of 130 kilometers and 10,000 D + / D- carried out in 6 days and allowing to travel part of the Aosta Valley, connecting Gressonay to Courmayeur, the Italian cousin of Chamonix, the European capital of the Outdoor.

This crossing will allow us to vary the pleasures and discover all the beauty that the Italian Alps have to offer us: grandiose panoramas, magical paths and historic places which will punctuate our stages.

Roaming between mythical peaks: Matterhorn, Mont-Blanc, Mont Rose and Mont Paradis as well as glaciers and lakes as far as the eye can see that you can admire throughout the course in the best possible conditions. All this in light mode thanks to our logistical assistance which will allow you to find all your comfort, a good meal and your belongings every evening.

During the days, you will be supervised by a mountain guide specializing in the discipline and you will have the opportunity to learn the running techniques which will allow you to progress in trail running, uphill, downhill, on rough terrain, use of poles, etc ...

Venue and appointment time

10am at Chamonix train station ( Google map ) the first day of the course (shuttle until the start of the course)



End of stay

3 p.m. in Courmayeur - 4 p.m. in Chamonix (shuttle bus to Chamonix)

The price includes

  • coaching by a mountain guide who specializes in trail
  • full board from the first day of the evening course to the last day of the midday course
  • your transport and the transport of your luggage during the stay

The price does not include

  • lunch on the first day at noon
  • drinks and personal expenses
  • cancellation and repatriation insurance
  • your route to the meeting point and from the end of the internship

Equipment to provide for the day

- A 5 to 15 L backpack
- A waterproof or windproof jacket
- A warm long-sleeved top
- Tights or long pants in the bag
- Adapted / trail type socks
- A pair of sunglasses
- A plastic bag for waste
- Bars, dried fruits ...
- A little cash
- A hat and thin gloves

- Spare clothes for the duration of the internship
- A toiletry bag / hand towel
- Spare shoes
- A post-race outfit
- A pocket knife
- Earplugs
- A headlamp

Day 1Gressonay - Champoluc (15 km - 1.400 D +)

Reception at 10 a.m. at Chamonix station

10 a.m. - 12 p.m .: Transfer from Chamonix to departure point

12 p.m. - 1 p.m. : Picnic by Lake Gover

1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. : hike-race outing

6 p.m. : Installation at the accommodation

Day 2Champoluc - Valtournenche (18 km - 1.300 D +)

9 am - 4 pm: Day hike-run outing

4.30 p.m .: Installation at accommodation

Day 3Valtournenche - Oyace (34 km - 2.300 D +)

8 am - 6 pm: Day hike-run outing

6.30 p.m.: Installation at accommodation

Day 4 Oyace - Ollomont (12 km - 1.100 D +)

10 am - 3 pm: Day hike-run outing

3.30 p.m .: Installation at accommodation

Day 5Ollomont - Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses (22 km - 1.500 D +)

9 am - 4 pm: Day hike-run outing

4.30 p.m .: Installation at accommodation

Day 6Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses - Courmayeur (28.5 km - 1.600 D +)

8 am - 3 pm: Day hike-run outing

3 p.m .: End of the internship in Courmayeur, transfer until

Level and prerequisites

Intensity 4/4: Extreme
Technical level 3/4: Overall technical

During the stay
Between 15 and 35 km per day
Between 1,200 and 2,300 D + per day
You will be able to go on outings from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the mountains.

You run in the mountains on technical and off-piste paths. You will encounter technical (scree, snowfields, steep slope) and aerial passages.

Regular training several times a week, with long outings (over 2 hours) and a maratrail experience (over 40 km)

Physical :
You run very regularly and practice endurance sports (in addition to trail running: cycling, hiking, skiing, etc.). During the trip you will be in excellent physical shape.

Technical :
You are comfortable on all types of trails and can meet very technical passages (scree, snowfields, steep slope) and aerial.
